Moveable Height Chart

Today, you marked your child’s height on the wall for the first time. It is the start of a wonderful family tradition and that wall will be treasured for years to come as you marvel at how short that first mark was or laugh when you remember the way he stood on his toes for the mark half way up. But what happens when you need to move? You could carefully cut out the drywall, patch the hole, paint the new drywall and take your chart with you. You could. But I wouldn’t want to!

Instead, I got a piece of lightweight plywood and framed it with quarter round trim. I painted the whole thing white, added some child friendly wall decals and tacked a cloth measuring tape to it. I added a sturdy picture hanger to the back of the plywood and I had a moveable height chart.

Now, all those precious memories can move with me wherever I go!
