It’s no secret; music can affect us in so many ways. It can rile us up, it can calm us down. Music can bring back long-forgotten memories and it can rally people together.

What some people don’t know is that music can also help with the healing process or with managing pain.

If music can relax or distract someone, it only stands to reason that it can also help relax you enough to deal with some of the physical issues that are a part of our life.

MedicineNet.com has an article, Music as Medicine, that discusses music in the healthcare environment. It can only help to have an extra tool to help us manage pain.

PS – it turns out that Scott over at Health and Men also has a post on music: Midweek Madness: Audio Therapy. I guess great minds do think alike! {grin}
