My Beef With Fit TV

I like to change my work-out routines to keep it fun. I like varieties in order not get bored with my physical activities. If I’m not dancing, doing Tae-Bo, Pilates, or doing my hardcore routine of weights, squats, abs, etc, I usually tune in to Fit TV. I love to work-out with Sharon Mann and sometimes with Gilad. Once in a while, depends on what time I get a chance to work-out in the day, I catch the Yoga show which I love coz it helps me with flexibility and it relaxes my body just like Pilates does. A couple of times I’ve caught the Belly Dancing show. I’ve always wanted to learn it but just couldn’t convince myself to buy the DVD’s. Don’t ask me why..LOL. So if I like these shows, what’s my beef then?
Well the amount of commercials irritates the hell out of me. Too much. Sure they tell you to keep doing what you’re doing while they show their sponsors but geez. Sometimes I sit in my living room floor watching what seems like 12 commercials played consecutively. So by the time Gilad comes back on, I’m all cooled down and then it annoys me even more that Gilad is already half-way done the new step. The time I spend waiting for the show to come back, I could’ve done the dishes. Or loaded my laundry in the dryer and put another load in the washer. For a Mom like me who has too many blogs to write for, a Toddler, chores, etc, Time is Precious. So why not just stick with my DVD’s and other routines then? Well like I said, I like varieties so I’ll probably stay miffed at FitTV and still continue to work-out with the exercise shows for as long as I live. Hehehe.















I have the same gripe with Fit TV. I like to catch whatever episode of Gilad is on at 6AM but I’m annoyed by the commercials. The right solution is probably to set the DVR and fast forward through the commercials but my DVR is in the other room. So now I’ve taken to doing the first part of the workout until the commercial then doing some resistance stuff on my balance ball for the commercials and then come back to Gilad after.
Oh that’s a good idea. I should take my own ball out from Hubby’s gym room when I exercise to FitTv. We have no DVR. I’m usually just lifting my legs and keep doing some kind of movements while I wait for the damn commercials to be over. Thanks for the tip

that right, I also d ont like the commercials in between because it takes you away from your workout tempo too.
I have started recording it too and doing it later so I fast forward all the commercials and try to get a good work out…
Sometimes I keep my weight handy the smallest one and keep working with them until the add are over.Dont have a choice there…
