My Black Friday Experience

Today I woke bright and early, hopped online and surfed the net to make sure exactly what I’d buy at Wal-mart. The hubby was prepared as well, he went to Target with the two girls. (I took the boys)
We arrived around 4:30 a.m. and went directly inside, hubby and girls went on their way to their own store. Soccerboy grabbed a cart as I carried his brother inside, a man handed us a map in case we got lost in Wal-mart. (this is actually a good thing for those that have never been)
Being my first time I did not know that you could NOT touch items until 5 a.m. Then why the heck do they let you inside? I guess they want you to drool over the other deals, I’m not sure. Oh I found this out only AFTER loading my cart. A man came up and yelled at me (worker), told me I had to put everything on the shelf until 5 a.m. Fine I did, but I parked myself right beside it. I did warn others, but by 4:45 they were grabbing and making their way through the stores. (I was a good girl, I stayed put)
Items I got:
- 3 Barbie Castle Muses ($5 each)
- 2 HSM Barbie doll Chad and Troy ($5 each)
- pack 10 hot wheels ($5)
- 1 Hannah Montana doll (Lilly $5)
- $2 movie (Pay it Forward)
- 2 Littlest Pet Shop VIP ($7 each)
- set of washcloth&towel of each: Disney Princess, CARS & H.Montana ($3 each)
Found out Wal-mart does price match. The people were mostly friendly but it was chaos once 5 a.m. actually hit. I’m a claustrophobic (shouldn’t have done it in the first place) and ended up trapped and had to bail out in a corner of the store where no one else was at. We ended up eventually making it over to the aisles and was more amazed at how crazy it was. There were lines that were super long but ended up going no where, people thought they were lines to the check out but in the end they were lines to a family that was just meeting up. It got nuts, my line ended up merging with another where we decided every other person would split. The baby (Little A) decided 15 people in front of us he no longer wanted to be there, by the time it was just four in front he was out.
I came prepared, got what I needed but was still unprepared for the messy lines. I don’t think there is a remedy for that though. Got a Black Friday story to share?

Wow! That is some line. My sister said there were virtually no lines in her Walmart. I shopped from home, so I was line free.
I am not setting foot in a single store today. I don’t want the headache, lol.
