My Junk Creation: Tea Tag Bookmark

teatag-bookmark-7.JPGEarlier today, I unloaded my fun Tea Tag Confetti post. You thought it was fun, right?

Here’s a project that requires a little glue, but it’s lovely for a tea sipper.

Simple directions for Tea Tag Bookmark:

-After selecting your favorite tags, arrange in pattern. I used six tags.
-Apply small amounts of glue to bottom tips of tags and begin building the bookmark.
-Wipe away any excess glue on both sides of bookmark.
-Tie a ribbon or a used tea string to the top.
-Let rest between magazine pages, layered with books.
-After just minutes, enjoy your new junk creation!

I chose a stained tea string for a bit more character, but you may want to doll yours up with a coordinating ribbon.

Is this something you would enjoy?

  3. This is great, Peggy! There are some really neat tea tags out there… what a fun way to continue savouring your fave tea. As a tea fanatic and a bookaholic, this is the perfect combination for me! You can never have too many bookmarks!

Carmella, I think a bookmark with a variety of tags would look great. I just happen to be stuck on one right now. : )

  7. Eileen says:

Makes me wish I was a tea drinker. Can you do anything with cola cans???

  8. Peggy says:

Eileen, I’m sure there are plenty of things that can be made from cola cans. I’ve even seen bracelets made from the can tabs at Etsy.

I’ll have to do a series on that some time.
