My new favorite pens that I think might be magic
I prefer using pens over pencils. I also do not like paying much for pens because I loose them pretty frequently. This means that I often use cheap, crappy pens.
My company started buying these uni-ball pens that I am in love with:
I have used the black, red, green, and blue. The black one is not quite as special as the color ones. I have never seen that 8 pack before and my office does not order the green, pink, purple or light blue. I might have to order a set to make my coworkers jealous.
These ones are good enough to frequently borrow from work. These ones are good enough to stop and buy when you realize you need a pen and do not have one. These ones are good enough to keep away from the kids.

Oh, my. I have never met a MALE pen junkie before. I love UniBall products.
Oh, I want some of those now! My pens always develop legs and walk off though, if the little one doesn’t make art out of them first (or dismantle them, hee hee). I guess if I didn’t work at home, I’d keep my pens around, eh?
Hmmm, I never liked those pens. They always made me appear less manly as a geek. I mean, UNI-ball? Sheesh.
mdmhvonpa: You’re such a pain!! Glad you made your way here. Mike M here reminds me so much of you but I think you win the cantankerous contest.
Insert derisive snicker here.
Mike forgot to mention that he loves these pens so much that I gave him some for Father’s Day. But they were just black ones. I guess if I had gotten him purple and green ones he would remember.
He also has a thing for mechanical pencils, blank page journals and a stack of index cards thrown in your pocket for emergencies.
Sure. You put up a pretty picture of some pens and they come out of the woodwork.
I am a bit of a pen junkie. I love having a pen around all the time to jot down quick notes and these one are pretty good.
MamaDuck, the advantage of “borrowing” these from work is that I don’t have to keep quite as close of an eye on them around my kids. But, I have been stuck at a client’s site for a couple weeks now and my current supply is running low.
And finally, I never thought I would ever hear the phrase “made me appear less manly as a geek.” Good luck with that
Well, the thing is though, that not only do my pens disappear, but the most permanent and dark of them tend to resurface in the hands of my toddler – never a good thing as he makes “pretty pikture” on my walls, carpet, couch, etc. Hee hee hee.
I have one of these uni ball pens too. I like it, but I’m not sure where it came from. I guess I found it from someone that loses pens a lot. LOL
Hey. Give me my pen back.
