My son’s family away from home

Well, some of them anyway! Tom and Susan Stukenberg have 11 children, so it’s pretty hard to get them all together at one place and time. Last year, many of them were able to come to the orphanage in Guatemala where Tom and Susan are the directors. My son Nate considers these people to be his second family. I can see why!

We’ll be getting to meet at least a few of them in January when we travel down with Nate for a short visit. Their 3 youngest children, Noe, Cecilia, and Victoria are Guatemalan, and are growing up at the home. Cecilia is missing from the picture, but Victoria is sitting with Deborah, who also lives full-time at the home. In the back row are Tom and Susan, who will (naturally) be there, Lizzie, Anna, son-in-law Eliud, and daughter Esther. Esther and Eliud live near enough by to be frequently at the home, so we’re hoping we’ll get to meet them too. Lizzie and Anna, along with Amy, Mary, John, and Ben won’t be there.

But Lizzie is visiting with us right now while Nate’s here on furlough. I’ll give you three guesses why ;-)
