My Weekend Extreme Redneck Makeover

Last week was a very busy week for this poor mom! School woes and kids style issues. It was almost more than a mom could take.

Well, I finally chipped and nagged away at him enough that we were able to load up and go on a little shopping/social experiment excursion.

What I did was take him to the redneck farm store and then to the mall. In the mall was visited Aeropostale and American Eagle Outfitters. Before entering the stores, I asked him to look around each store and find the girls he considered HOT.

You can almost see where I’m going with this, can’t you?

In the farm store, he didn’t see any girls – only farmers and laborers with similar style to that he’d been insisting on.

Next the mall – before entering each of Aeropostale and American Eagle Outfitters, his eyes lit up. Inside both stores were beautiful girls. In fact, one store we were able to do very little shopping in because his eyes were glued to one particular girl that caught his eye.

When we finished shopping and got in the car, I paused and asked him to think about something.

“If a girl that hot is shopping in American Eagle Outfitters, what kind of style do you think she would like her man to be?”

The light went on and the style was changed.

Now if all parenting issues were this easy to resolve.
