Myths About the Pill

Are you taking the pill? There are some interesting facts about this method of birth control, and some common myths. One myth I’ve heard is that it will make you infertile if you take it for a long time. Also that women “need a break” from taking it.

One article says both these myths are wrong. They say to take the pill as long as you want, and if you want to get pregnant, then go off of it. The pill doesn’t make it harder for you to get pregnant later.

I was on the Pill for 10 years before trying to have a baby. I went off and had no problems getting pregnant. My sister on the other hand has gotten pregnant 3 times while on the pill.
