National Cafe au Lait Day

Americans don’t drink much cafe au lait, not as much as we should. I first discovered the half-coffee, half-milk concoction when I was studying in France during between my sophomore and junior years in college. Although I generally prefer my coffee black and unadorned, there’s something comforting about a cup of cafe au lait, especially on a cold winter’s day.

February 17 is Cafe au Lait Day. To celebrate, brew yourself a cup…or two.
