Feeling a little blue? Not the lovely blue of water on a sunny summer day, but a sad, in a funk blue? Then July 11th is the day for you. National Cheer Up Day is dedicated to giving people who are feeling lonely a little boost by sending them a letter, a card, a funny movie, or something else that just says, “Hey, you aren’t alone and I’m thinking about you today!”

It is nice that there’s a holiday that reminds us to remember to keep in touch with family and friends who are feeling a bit down because they are lonely, isn’t it? And, since you can email a link to a funny Youtube video for free, this is one holiday that doesn’t have to put stress on your wallet!
