If you’ve been waiting for a hip replacement, you’re not alone. According to a study of patients with osteoarthritis, also called degenerative or wear and tear arthritis, more hips needed replacements than did knees, despite knees being affected by the arthritis at a higher rate.
According to the study of over 7000 patients, 53% of women and 38% of men required hip replacements while only 28% of women and 12% of men required knee replacements.
