Watch out dirty carpet. A lean, fast machine may be coming after you.
When the new Dyson DC31 vacuum debuts, it will have a motor that’s 10 times faster than a jet engine. In fact, it will be the fastest motor on earth, twirling at 104,000 revolutions per minute. And it doesn’t emit any carbon dust.

According to Popsci.com, the new motor will draw only 200 watts, which is half the power needed for most vacuum motors.
The DC31 will be available in the UK in July and in the US in the fall. It’s expected to retail for around $220 for the standard model or $270 for the DC31 Animal.
