For those of you who live in New Mexico and need medicinal marijuana (medical cannabis), the news reports that the government of New Mexico has finalized its rules for the distribution and possession of the product. Medicinal marijuana may be used to help make life easier to help those living with chronic pain, nausea, and other symptoms caused by chronic diseases and disorders.
According to regulations, people requesting medicinal marijuana must be either in hospice care or having one of the following diseases or disorders:
- Cancer
- Glaucoma
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Epilepsy
- Spinal Cord Damage with Intractable Spasticity
- HIV/AIDS
However, doctors may make special requests for patients who do not fall under any of those categories by petitioning the Medical Advisory Board.
