New Poll – Do You Participate in Giveaways?

Giveaways
More and more bloggers seem to offer giveaways/contests on their blogs and web sites. Some of these encourage viewers to visit. Other giveaways share with visitors the blogger’s quilted/fabric art items and/or books. Still more are for pure fun.
Do you visit blogs and web sites for giveaways and contests? Or do check out blogs mainly for the information and resources offered there, participating in the giveaways as an incidental bonus?
Or do you stay away from blogs that offer giveaways?
I’ve put up a new poll (to the right) about giveaways. I’d like you to vote there. Also, leave a comment below if you’d like and let me know if I should run more giveaways here at Quilting and Patchwork.
I like giveaways, but am not a particular fan of having too many giveaways, esp if there’s no other content for weeks.
Ok.. I’m an addict.. so here is the method to my madness.
I have two sections of my Google Reader
*Blogs I like to Read
*Giveaway Blogs
I visit both everyday… all the time.
I enter about 20+ giveaways a day, I win about 2x a week.
Even those that don’t have giveaways I read everyday, and the sites that do about one giveaway a week and have personal content the rest of the week are my favorite. I like learning about people while I am entering things.
As for handmade items.. My total fav! I won a beautiful quilt that I am sending over to my daughters paternal grandmother for the holidays…. Such a lovely piece!
