Isn't it funny that our sleep patterns have muscle memory. Waking up at the same time every day.

I used to be the same about not trusting alarms - that was when I didn't need them. And when I first went back to work, I would set at least 5 around the house, just in case.

Interesting thing though- is when something went wrong (and it usually did) it was caused by the user (me!) and not the machine.

This is why I never turn my alarm off...I just let the music play for 2 hrs and then it automatically resets itself.

One of the benefits of not having to work - I get to wake up naturally. But then, I am a creature of habit, so my "naturally" tends to be within the ballpark of the same time every morning. For the past few months, since I've switched things around, that means to bed ~8:30 and up ~6:30. Even if I need extra sleep, that still has me up before most appointments!

The flip side of that is when I do have to wake up before "normal", I don't trust alarms - not having used them much. So there's usually at least three set up so that one doesn't go awry!
