New Research in Fight Against Alzheimer’s

Research with Alzheimer’s and diabetes both seem to get more exciting every day. Don’t you think? Here’s some more exciting news: N60. The name “N60″ is something you’ll hear more and more because it is a specific section of “RanBP9, a protein that has proven key in Alzheimer’s research. According to Science Daily, RanBP9 “increases the production of the amyloid beta protein,” which is important because patients with Alzheimer’s have an extreme amount of this protein. More so than those without the disease.

In short, the hope is that discovering what makes this “amyloid beta protein” go gangbusters in patients will lead to stopping the progression. And therefore, the disease.

    It is to late for a cure for my mom but I hope one comes soon for the rest of us.
