New Security Rule Means New Laptop Cases

Now that the TSA has announced a change in security policy, and laptop bags may not be required to removed from its bag, it may be time to go shopping for a new laptop case.

One of the key requirements for a “checkpoint friendly” bag is that it lie flat on the x-ray belt, and that there be not metal snaps, zippers, buckles, or pockets that can obstruct a clear view of the laptop inside.

Bora Bora Hibiscus Laptop Sarong I think a laptop sleeve may be a nearly perfect answer to the “checkpoint friendly” question.

Yes, it will still need to removed from a larger bag, but at least it will still be protected.  In addition to being protected, with this Bora Bora Hibiscus Laptop Sarong it will also be quite fashionably tropical as well.  And doesn’t sarong sound ever so much more exotic than sleeve?

The sarong comes in three sizes, and can fit both Apple and PC laptops.  The outer shell and inside lining is made of a cotton fabric, and is hand washable.

Available from Gyms Pacific, $45.
