Nigella Lawson’s Ham In Coca-Cola

Nigella Lawson just had an episode with what she calls “Trashy” Food.  There was a lot of yummy food, like deep-fried candy bars and fried chicken.

What caught my eye, since Easter is this week, Ham in Coca-Cola.  It’s a simple recipe and looks really good.  I was unable to find the recipe on the Food Network site, but I did find it at the Style Network.

After watching the episode and looking at the recipe, I have a couple of notes.  If you can’t find English mustard powder, regular mustard powder will do.  Also, on the show she used more than “1 heaping tablespoon” of molasses.  Nigella globbed the molasses all over the ham and spread it with her fingers.

It looked delicious and easy.  For the full recipe click here.

Trashy food eh? I read somewhere that Vegas has deep fried Twinkies and Oreos. Jeez… cholesterol/calorie overload!
