Noodles W/ Pork, Shitake, & Pad Thai Sauce

I found a jar of Pad Thai sauce the last time I visited an Asian store so I planned on making Pad Thai Noodles one of these days. Plans changed though when the green sprouts that I bought went bad after a day. I was so disappointed. I decided to still make a noodle dish but it’s not a Pad Thai Noodles dish per se.

INGREDIENTS :
rice noodles, soak in water for 30 minutes
1 pack of dried shitake mushrooms, soak in water for 30 minutes
2 pork chops, sliced in thin strips
3 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
1 medium onion, chopped finely
2 big spoonfuls of Pad Thai sauce
2 cups of water
5 pcs napa cabbage, sliced thin strips
oil for sautéing

After the shitake mushrooms are soaked in water, drain the water and slice thinly. Discard the stalks.

Heat the oil in a wok. Sauté onions and garlic. Add the pork slices and let them cook. Stir in the shitake mushrooms, Pad Thai Sauce, and water. Cook until it boils, then add the noodles. Stir and cook for another 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the napa cabbage in the end. Stir everything together and just let the cabbages cook for about 2 minutes or so.
