Not again: autistic boy drowns in retention pool

Early this morning, five-year-old Korey Penwall was found floating face-down in a retention pool in a neighbor’s yard in Noblesville, Indiana, according to the Noblesville Ledger.

    Er, unless I’m seriously misreading the news article, Korey’s death was accidental, quite unlike Ryan’s or Christopher’s or Katherine’s. I’m not sure why he should be grouped with them.

    It does indicate the level of care needed that most parents wouldn’t understand, and it isn’t surprising that the mother was away.

    Very sad…
