November: Raising awareness on premature babies

There are many causes that receive national attention because of their awareness month, week, or day. November is no different. And this month, we have something of interest to Womb Within visitors. November is Prematurity Awareness Month and November 18th is Prematurity Awareness Day.
The issue of preterm birth, premature babies, and health is an important one. Do you think awareness days/months/weeks do any good?
