NY To Go For Solar Power & Biodiesel

They say people who live in New York have hearts which have been already hardened by the NY culture. However, it may not seem such for the officials of the city are now doing some steps so as to help keep our environment greener and cleaner.

One of the most recent developments is a piece of news from the city’s mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg mentioned that the city hall would soon be using solar power as a source of energy. He also mentioned that heating oil would be used in all other buildings of the city government. Biodiesel would also be used by the city officials to fuel their vehicles.

I did get across some details and I learned that the whole plan was to actually reduce the toxic materials that are being spewed out in the environment. For example, they are working towards having the carbon emissions lessened by around 30% come the year 2030.
