Oddity & Zoo

We saw this woman at the zoo yesterday.
She has piercings up the back of her calves. She has laced her piercings in order to look like stockings!
So far this is the oddest thing I’ve seen on my trip and I just went to San Francisco. Salt Lake City beat San Francisco as far as oddities. Go figure.
Reunited with my kids, check that out over at So Sioux Me: Reunited.

I wonder if she laces them up herself..or has help? She’s obviously NOT a mother. Simmer down, I say that because no mother would purposefully inflict this extra hour into a morning routine..or tempt her children to inflict physical pain to her body.
My friend used to have an evil cat that ran my hose every time I walked near. Can you imagine cats and these? EEEK!
Eeww..I can NOT imagine. Or babies and these?
It does look kind of cool though? (Don’t tell my mom I said that)
Judging from the way that woman’s looking at you, she’s feelin’ just how odd you find her. Hahaha.
Still, the lacing looks hot, though. =)
Okay, I had to look at that picture several times. What did she say when you snapped the shot? You know, it’s funny, I lived in Marin and hung out in San Francisco, and like you, I found more “interesting” sites in Salt Lake City. See what happens when you restrict alcohol! haha
She said, “Did she just take a picture of my ass?”
I said to my sister, “She PIERCED her legs, no one is ever going to look at her ass again!”
The piercings she has are called corset piercings and aren’t new; a lot of people who get these kind of piercings tend to get them on their backs to imitate a real corset. I saw them a few years back and loved them on the lower back and started wanting one real bad. However, I did my research and found out that with these piercings, you can have them for about 3 months tops because they migrate; which means they tear along your skin and cause horrendous scars and hurt way too much to have to get removed in a few months with some more intense pain. Not worth it at all.
