This is certainly good development. I couldn't finish my antibiotics, so I am going to try taking extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp with meals for a few days. hope it will help.

I started using olive oil about 4 days ago, and it seems to be helping. I had h pylori about a year ago, and now I have it again. :-( Not sure how I keep getting it, or maybe it just wasn't totally gone from last time. Another thing I started last night was Mastic Gum. Hope I get over this soon....

I have an ulcer an try just about everything, antibiotics, acid suppressor, milk, proton pump inibitor. eg pariet, chamomile tea. slipery elm., msm, however lately i ran out of vegetable cooking oil, and was about to cook and i didnt want to go back out to buy any oil, so i use some olive oil to sautee some sausages, i eat and next day i notice my stomach felt better! the only thing i change was my cooking oil, maybe im imagining things, but i think its the olive oil! Can anyone tell me if there a recommended daily doses i can take, for ulcers to become cured! Or if there any home remedies that u know that can work, because personally im tired of wasting money on prescription drugs that obviously aint working!

This is exciting news! Another food being studied in relation to H. pylori is broccoli sprouts. A Japanes human clinical study showed a reduction in H. pylori infection after two months of broccoli sprout ingestion. I cook with olive oil all the time, and would love to hear the results of in vivo studies.

This is actually great to hear! I recently did a homeopathic body cleanse consisting of olive oil and lemon juice. Ultimately, I passed three small gallstones. I admit to worrying slightly about ingesting so much oil, but when I later met with my physician and shared what I had accomplished, she seemed pleased and somewhat enlightened. It's been nearly a month since, but I feel great -- and my excretory tract seems to have found a regular routine, too.
