Olympic swimmer has chicken pox: Another reason to vaccinate

After your baby is born, you’ll be faced with childhood vaccines, one of which is for the chicken pox. With the anti-vaccine movement still trying to sway parents to join their side, some kids aren’t being vaccinated in the mistaken belief that childhood illnesses are benign (not serious).

    I had cp as an adult. It’s so miserable, I don’t know why anyone would want their child to have it.

    Are you serious? This is so ridiculously oversimplified and misleading. How can you profess to want to educate pregnant women and new mothers and then turn around and insult their intelligence like this? There are so many this wrong with this post I won’t even go into it. I just hope than any pregnant woman reading this might see my comment and take the time to actually do some research about vaccines and the diseases they are supposed to prevent, weigh the risks and benefits and make an informed decision, instead of taking ridiculous tripe like this at face value.
