Olympic Themed Party
The Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics are tomorrow! Get the kids in the mood by holding your own backyard Olympics or an Olympic watching party.
Backyard Olympics
- Make your own Olympic torches and have a torch relay
- Decorate with an Olympic country flag banner
- Set up a backyard obstacle course and time the runners going through the course
- Play backyard volleyball
- Have a hula hoop contest
- Other easy events to measure include long jump, sprinting, jump rope, and similar
Have an Olympic viewing party
- Print and cut out the Olympic mascots for table decorations
- Put together a centerpiece with different country stick flags and patriotic extras
- Make Olympic ring cupcakes or cookies by covering treats with vanilla frosting and making Olympic rings out of M&Ms or Jelly beans
