Olympics Fitness Challenge

So in honor of the Olympics, I went swimming with the kiddo yesterday. Seeing as I am a piss poor swimmer and there are no Olympic size pools near us that would also accommodate toddlers, we got creative. We went to the local man-made beach and basically had a lot of fun. It’s amazing how tiring just treading water is. That’s a killer ab workout that’s fun while you’re doing it. I managed to get two laps in at the end and that was pretty much all I could handle. I really enjoyed it but it’s exhausting so I’m not sure if it would be something I could keep up with. Has anyone else tried to keep up with the events? Doesn’t it make you just want to get up and move?

I went swimming yesterday too! I was so exhausted (plus I went jogging with a friend later that evening AND I rode my bike to the pool). I think it must be a cure for insomnia!

Positively. I’m into fitness, but I’m not very “sporty” (as in coordinated). So when I whip out the bats and balls, everyone take cover. . .
