On-the-go green gear

If you’re frequently on-the-go and carry tech products around with you then you need some cool on-the-go eco-friendly items. Such as…

solio-hybrid-charger

President Barack Obama does solar on the go with the Solio Classic Universal Hybrid Charger, so why shouldn’t you? Solio, the Universal “Hybrid” Charger snags power from the sun via powerful solar panels or a wall storing via the Solio’s internal rechargeable battery and then uses this power to charge all your on-the-go gadgets. Solio is also cool because while compact enough to carry with you, it’s super powerful and versatile. It can charge many gadgets (iPod, digital cameras, game players, cells, and more) so carrying around a million chargers becomes unnecessary. There’s even a nice little case you can get for your charger (see below).

Lastly, the Solio Classic lasts and lasts. A fully charged Solio can charge a mobile phone more than twice or allow for over 20 hours of iPod music; example, 1 hour of sunshine translates to 20 minutes talk time or 50 minutes of MP3 music.

billboard-cd-holder

Billboard CD Holder: This disc holder is made from recycled billboard vinyl, thus eco-smart and useful. Plus this item is one of a kind due to its recycled quality. Available at Home & Planet.

Eclipse Solar Gear makes all sorts of handy and stylish on-the-go eco-gear, but I really adore their messenger bags the most. I have messenger bag issues. For example one great choice of bags is their “Fusion” Messenger Bag – in gray and black (shown above). This bag is stylish, but has the added perk of a solar charging module which “Can be utilized by using a common 12V automotive charging adapter made specifically for the brand and type of personal electronics you own.” There are loads of pockets included for papers, pens, your phone, and more, plus a large space for your laptop. Downside – this bag is not made to charge your laptop, but if all you need to charge is your cell or iPod, you’re good to go.
