On William Lash IV and William Lash III

July 17, 2006 by Kristina Chew, PhD

William Lash III, who (as reported in the July 15th Washington Post), shot and killed his 12-year-old autistic son, William Lash IV, was an assistant secretary of commerce from 2001-2005 and a professor at George Mason University Law School in Arlington, Virginia.

William Lash IV was his parents’ only child and had just completed the sixth grade at Haycock Elementary School in the Falls Church area. He liked to swing in his backyard and attended Washington Nationals baseball games with his father, as noted in the Washington Post.

Some comments about Professor Lash can be found at BlackProf.com. I would like to know about William Lash IV—-Will Lash, as the Washington Post referred to him—-and I am thinking of his mother, Sharon K. Zackula.
