I am currently in the process of trying to figure out, yet again, how to organize much of our house.

I think that over time, things change, and we need to have a fresh look at what activities the room is used for and whether they are no longer be the best use of the space.

You are right on. Another thing we sometimes over look before buying something we need for a room is to measure the space first to make sure what we buy will fit. (Or for a closet, shelf, etc) This is personal/ past experience speaking here.

I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of months…you publish a lot of good tips, but this one was a revelation. Sounds really cheesy, but I simply hadn’t thought about it that way.

It is a good tip. I just wish I always remembered to follow it myself. Sometimes you get overexcited to move in and just space stuff.
