One Piece of Paper

While these works of paper art aren’t exactly going to stay inside your journal I did find them inspirational for visual journal ideas. Has anyone tried any pop-up ideas in their journals? I did a quick google and came up with a list of how to pop-up books which might be worth looking at if you’re at all interested in trying this idea in your journal. There are even some simple ideas to get you started making your own pop-ups.
If you know any cool sites on pop-ups, please share them in the comments section below.

I’m horrible with scissors!
Hi Peggy,
Lol, yeah, I’m not too good with them, either. Still, it’s inspiring to see what others can do with them. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Is there anyone who doesn’t love pop-ups?!
The Hirshhorn Gallery submissions are incredible. I especially like the buildings. Simply amazing!
I also enjoyed the people figures: the pop-up ballerina and the guy hanging from the picture frame.
The work and ingenuity are just amazing.
Thanks for the great links Heather.
Hi Eileen,
I fell in love with some of the pieces, too. Aren’t some people just so amazing? Thanks for leaving a comment telling me how much you enjoyed this one.
I tried a simple frog face pop up once, but as a card, not a pop up.
Did you see the new 1000 Artist Journal Pages book yet? I’m on my 4th read through and still finding completely new things. The book is literally 1000 pages from other artist’s journals. Really makes you want to go out and journal!
Wow, I can’t type today. I meant to say I tried pop ups on cards, not in journals…
Hi Katelyn,
Lol, no worries. I thought that was what you meant. I have yet to see any of the book, 1000 Journals, but I am really eager. I know it’s the kind of book I’ll want to own, but I am going to try my library. Thanks for your comment.
