“Oops, I forgot to have a baby!”

Somebody buy me this. Please.

I stumbled across this site, utterly by accident and now I want everything they have in stock.

What’s even better than the bumper sticker? It’s description:

Barren. We love that phrase! Dripping with piteous condescension, really.

The Oops I Forgot to Have a Baby Store caters primarily to those living childfree, by choice or otherwise, but as someone living childfree right now, I found its humor refreshingly dry.  Crisp like a good gin and tonic. Depending on where you are in your baby-making journey, it might rub you the wrong way. Not for everyone. Definitely for me.

  1. Stopping by from NCLM. I have children but totally get the humor that some find in it!

I’m here from NaComLeavMo and might have to get some of those for my sister and her fiance. They have planned not to have children and would REALLY appreciate some of those mugs!

I may never have children – and I like the humour, it’s very in your face, and up yours, which is how I feel, and it makes people uncomfortable, which I also like doing….

This looks awesome and I know a lot of “barren bitches” who would love this. Thanks for sharing.

Those are great!! I am to the point now where, if people ask, instead of being polite, I blurt out the cold, hard facts. All of them!! And then I stand there and stare while they try to think of something to say. I might start wearing those bumper stickers on my shirt.

  7. Mrs. Impatient says:

Ahahaha! Those are perfect! I’m thinking I might need that Happily Ever After tank!

  8. Rachel says:

LMAO! I think I like the ‘Barren’ bumper sticker the best. Hmmm, if we do the DE thing (highly likely at this point), I’ll have to come up with one of my own… thanks for stopping by today. I’m glad what I wrote helped. It’s scary, huh? Funny you should write, I’m having feelings of being overwhelmed a lot again lately. It comes and goes. Did I mention my brother/sister-in-law are pregnant after IF treatment? Talk about extra pressure…

    Take care. : )

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Loving that bumper sticker!

i know i know – you’re not a seinfeld fan. but there is an entire episode dedicated to this topic! about elaine and her then bf adamantly deciding to be non breeders. “what’s so special about having kids? it’s been done to death. anyone can do it!” great episode…ok they are all great episodes. :) lb

Laura, What? What are you talking about? I love the Seinfeld! I just had a hard time believing that he gets so many hot chics so consistently – blame Sarah for that observation.

It’s funny, even though we’ve been trying for over a year now (and you know who I blame for that….) there is still a very large piece of me that embraces the non-breeder.

  12. laurabc98 says:

i dunno! i thought you were not a fan! ?? where did i get that idea? i’m cracked. i love the non breeders! they rock! one of my bf’s is totally anti kid; i heart her she is hilarious. but yet, who do you think gets amelia the sweetest kick a*ss gifts? her! a pimped out standard size, mind you, pink basket ball, a mr. t onesie? c’mon! breeders dont’ give gifts like that to toddlers. :) the non breeders are far more creative and resistant to those pesky “choking hazard for children under 3″ labels. :)
