Oral Contraceptives Can Cause Baldness

birth control pills  If you are on the birth control pill, and you start to notice that your hair is thinning, or even falling out.  Do not, I repeat DO NOT panic.  This is not Alopecia Areata!  Alopecia results in clumps of hair (about the size of a quarter) falling out.  The hair loss related to certain types of birth control pills, will most certainly grow back.  It is due to an influx of estrogen.  You may find an initial episode of baldness when you start the pills (for the first few months) and again, when you go off it.  It`s nothing to worry about.  If you are worried about the effects, visiting a natural herb store – and talking to an informed person may bring some comfort, as well as taking home some effective product.  I believe the properties found in licorice, are quite beneficial, for this type of hair loss.

Like I said before, this type of hair loss is very temporary, so don`t worry.  Stressing over it, will only prolong the problem.
