For many people the idea of an organic garden is great until they see their first tomato hornworm…and then the environment flies out the window as they attack their garden foes with a vengeance.  And the nearest pesticide available…

Well, good news! You don’t have to reach for the toxic waste and you can still have your tomatoes!  This spray on pesticide will kill about any bug out there and yet you could sauce your scrambled eggs with it..umm..if you wanted to.

  • 5 jalapenos
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 c fresh basil
  • 4 c water
  • 2 Tbs murphys oil soap or Dr Bronners pepperment liquid soap

Blend all ingredients except soap in blender until smooth. Pour through cheesecloth into a spray bottle. Add soap. Let set for 2 days to ripen.

Spray plants, paying careful attention to the undersides of the leaves. Reapply after it rains, or as needed.

Be sure to was vegetables off before eating…it will not make you sick..but it will burn your mouth!
