Organizing Books and Knick Knacks

I’m currently re-decorating our home and I’m on the hunt for that perfect bookcase not only to house our books in our little home office but to house our little knick knacks.

I found a great 5×5 bookcase at IKEA just like the one that Heather Armstrong of Dooce as pictured above. Unfortunately for me, there is no IKEA in New Zealand so it’s either I have a friend of mine buy it in Australia and ship it to New Zealand or I have something custom made.
For now I have decided to leave it be and hope to find something similar somewhere local.
Aahhh the joy of living in a small country like New Zealand.
Organizing collections is always tricky, but the pic is a great example of what can be done.
