Osechi Ryori delivered

Our Osechi Ryori arrived on the 31st December as ordered and here it is.  I haven’t got around to fully identifying all of the items yet, but needless to say, they are all gone now.  They ranged from seafood to sweet beans and a vast array in between each of which has some symbolic significance.  Just seeing the boxes all arranged like this was significant enough for me.  An Australian New Year would probably feature a BBQ and a couple of beers.  I have never seen any food as refined and delicate as this.

Where did you order this meal and how can I order it for next year? It’s for my mom here in Mississippi.

  2. Tom says:

    Sorry Elaine

I ordered it from a local department store in Tsukuba Japan. I can’t help you with an American supplier. I am sure they exist so maybe someone else can help?
