Our Blogging Abode

Did I miss it?
Crap! Today… ok, technically yesterday folks around the Lifestyles Channel shared where they blogged from. Only with soccer practice… and dance… and clogged Internet tubes… and preparation for Kerri’s road trip I didn’t get the post up in time to join in the fun. Bummer.
You know the old saying, “If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right,” donchya? Well, I also like the corollary: “If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing poorly.” Think about it…
Anyway, in that vein, I share – belatedly – our blogging abode.
I’m a Mac guy… though at some point in the last two years I lost custody of my iBook. Every now and then Kerri let’s me visit her, but normally, I only see her from afar. As I sit here:

in the dining room on a wooden chair blogging on the HP that we received from the virtual school Samantha is enrolled in, I occasionally cast a longing glance over to here:

where Kerri and my iBook are enjoying the luxury of the living room love seat. Not the couch, mind you, but the LOVE SEAT! OH HOW THEY MOCK ME!!!
Yet, I refuse to stoop to their level, taunting me as they do. I refuse, I say! I am committed to the high road. I am a man of honor and dignity. See how I love my iBook wife! See how I sacrifice for her! Would that others see and follow my good example, thus would end the problems of the world. Alas, it is my burden alone to bear such knowledge along with a noticeable propensity for hyperbole.
(Curiously, although Kerri has left for a road trip with a girlfriend, I am writing this post from neither the dining room nor the living room, but rather a stool in the kitchen, photographic evidence of which must wait for another day… because the camera really is Kerri’s!)

I can empathize. Your space looks as uncomfortable as mine. My hubby gets the laptop and the loveseat too! There has to be something wrong with that.
