Out of his senses

Make Art Monday!

Using an existing page of text can be a really fun way to do “found poetry”. I removed this beautiful illustration from an old book, and found a page nearby that seemed to be saying exactly what I was imagining…

Tomorrow for Technique Tuesday, I’ll explain how to use a plain piece of tissue paper as a guide for accurate cutting in creating a found poem.

Have you ever tried printing from the computer directly onto the tissue paper? i have but have yet to find something to do with it. When I try to adhere it, the ink runs. Any suggestions???
    Thanks in advance.

Pat, I would always suggest spraying a light coat of fixative (like Krylon’s) on anything that I don’t want to bleed or run. But with tissue, in addition, you’ve really got to avoid any adhesives that are water-based, which is most of them! Have you tried spray adhesive? I hate the stuff, but this is one situation that it’s really helpful for.
