Out of the Storm Debris

Slow and hiccupping every 10 minutes or so, i finally found an online internet shop runnning on electric generator.

Pardon the unexpected hiatus on this blog, my little city down south of the Philippine Islands (Sorsogon) has been hardly hit two weeks ago by tropical cyclone typhoon Milenyo (international codename: xangsane, the laotian word for elephant.)

Too bad ( or good?!) I can’t yet download the photos from my digicam, I’m not really sure but some people said that the damage was like hurricane Katrina. We’ve been literally trampled on by raging elephants.

Anyway, I hope to get back to regular blogging mode while we are rebuilding, cleaning and clearing up. Luckily the past few days, the sun is up brightly we have started to dry stuff as everything was soaked wet, from my PC to our underwears.

I should publish this before the connection hiccups once more while my son (almost 4 yrs.old) is whinning at my back because he has to pee (i brought him to town with me because we had to buy bottled water when i bumped into the online net shop).

It is really great to be back, two weeks is too long to be offline. It’s nice coming home to b5media with a VC funding and an expanded science and health channel. Welcome new authors and congratulations to newly launched blogs and of course to b5media.

    I had no idea! Welcome back…for the few seconds you are here anyway. Looking forward to the photos. Not that I, um, like to lookie-loo at horrifying natural disasters that leave people homeless, but…well, yeah I guess I do. I am a bad person. Hope to see you posting again soon!

    SO nice to hear from you Glo!!! Glad you are safe and sound, you have been in our prayers. Sending you one of your mango truckloads back, cause you probably need them more than I do now. :) {{{Hugs}}}

    Good morning, Gloria! Hope everything is well for you today.

    Besides dealing with single motherhood, our family is facing the imminent loss of my aunt, who has lung and brain cancer. Right now she’s in what the doctors call a ’state of grace’, where she can still get up and enjoy the sunshine a few hours every day. I think i’ll keep an eye on your blog. It’s going to be a rough few months.

  4. Nice blog! Keep up the good work.
