With the Olympics located in China, panda bears come to mind. There seems to be a fascination with these black and white bears with the black patches around their eyes. They’re native to southwestern and central western China. Because of their distinctive markings, they’ve been a favorite with artists and photographers, as well as writers.
These animals become the focus of story books and find their way into art. Children enjoy reading about them. Often you’ll find that pictures and picture books entertain Alzheimer’s patients. Looking at them may initiate conversations and mind activity.
See some suggested books below to entertain youngsters and Alzheimer’s patients alike:
Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?

Looks like a great website! Will come back when I have more time.
At one time there were some pictures only (no written words) magazines available that were a lovely pictures for alzhemiers patients. Have you heard of any such? I’d like to send a subscription to my sisterinlaw whose mother has advanced alzheimers.
Thanks!
