Pass It On!

May 19, 2008 by Mark

If you sit in a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous and you hear anyone – ANYONE – share that they CHOSE not to drink alcohol in any way, shape or form,

PASS THIS ON!

Page 24;

“The fact is that most alcoholics, for reasons yet obscure, have lost the power of choice in drink.”

It doesn’t matter if they have 100 years sober in AA, tell them!

If its you spreading the lie that you chose not to drink alcohol, stop it!

Find some place else to go… or learn the truth…

“We are without defense against the first drink.”

  1. You really need to check out Vicarious Risings last 5 or 6 posts and read the comments. Im surrounded by chosers.

  2. Mark says:

Wow – someone is really going to far places to convince (control) others in a myriad of ways regarding the “nature” of alcoholism.

Constant Vigilance – the disease speaks!!!

  3. So I guess what you’re saying is that Im out of line and on a spiritual hilltop. Oh well. I guess that first post may have been on the high and mighty side. I guess thats where I made a decision based on self which later put me in a position to be harmed (not that I was all THAT harmed)

  4. Mark says:

Not at all – I was referring to the other person in the comments who kept ragging on you… and others…

  5. Well crap. I guess I was also speaking a lot about the nature of alcoholism so I thought.. oh nevermind. I guess thats all we were argueing about anyway was the nature of alcoholism. And everybody is trying to back up what they say with undocumentable examples and numbers. Anyway I am from the self knowledge doesnt give you power over alcohol school. Insanity doesnt care what you know.

  6. Mark says:

“self knowledge doesn’t give you power over alcohol”

    Bingo… good enough :)
