Then we let them come to the late election party with is and my husband brought them by to see me working the polls. That's something I think is very important. My parents always took me and my sister with them when they voted. They could've done it while we were in school; but they didn't. They took us with them - every. single. time. They talked to us about why it was important to vote, why they were voting the way they were voting. I remember debating politics with my dad as young as 11 (the '76 election) And you know what? I couldn't wait to be 18 and cast my first ballot - voting was so exciting to me! I'll be taking my 5y/o and 8 month old - and my husband will take our 4y/o and almost-3 y/o when we go to the polls tomorrow.
