Paula’s Party Moves to NYC

Thanks to some inside information from our friend Phil over at Ms. Paula Deen’s Website, the news is that the dates have been set for the next taping of Paula’s Party.
April 15-25th 2008 are the next taping dates for her big hit Paula’s Party. The big news is that the tapings have been moved to the Food Network Studios in New York City.
It looks like some of you are lucky enough to already have some tickets to the taping in your possession. For those of you who are wanting them, my suggestion is to contact the Food Network Studios located inside Chelsea Market.

If you are trying to find a hotel, Chelsea Market is located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. Chelsea is just to the north of the meat packing district, from 14th to 34th Streets, between 5th Avenue and the Hudson River. Yahoo Travel gave a list of several hotels in the Chelsea Area.
Hi Tracey, actually the best (and currently only as far as I know) way to get tickets is to send an email to audience@followproductions.com with Paula’s Party Tickets as the subject. Hope to see y’all there.
I guess since they fired Emeril, they have a big studio with nothing going on in it they need to cost justify.
I was thinking about that studio too. I just hope that they keep her show like it is and not try to change it up….it is doing well for a reason. It will be interesting to see the dynamics of her show when the scene changes.
I was lucky enough to obtain tickets for April 17 thru Follow Productions. I am SO excited to be going to NYC to party with Paula! I too hope the intimate atmosphere is maintained at the studio.
How come Paula to move the taping to NYC?
I submitted an application for 2 tickets last month. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back if you are lucky enough to score tickets? ANY info would be appreciated!

Hi, I also requested 2 tickets to Paula’s Party in February, I’m still waiting to find out if I will receive them or not – how do we know, anyone have any insight?

Hi Folks, just talked to the production company and they let me know that everyone who is receiving tickets for this taping has been contacted. However, if you haven’t been contact don’t despair, you are in the front of the line for the August tapings.

So as to possibly attending a taping in August, do we need to “re-apply” or pick from available dates in August? And I’m guessing we will hear sometime in July, maybe even June? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I will be in Savannah Oct 22-29. Does anyone know if she will have a show at this time and if I could get tickets and how to get tickets?
We were at the taping of Paula’s Party in NYC on April 16th. Does anyone know when this will air on TV? Can’t seem to find it on the website. Jason Priestly, Carson Cressley and Sherri McTerri were on that day. Thanks
Kelli – Unfortunately the only show we currently tape in Savannah is ‘Paula’s Home Cooking’ which does not have an audience.
Dawn – I will check with the production company and see if I can get an air date for that episode, oh, and by the way it’s Cheri Oteri.

The live tapings take place in New York City now. As far as I know, nothing is being taped in Savannah…you could still drop by the restraunt though.
Greetings, do you have a show airing date for the show taped in New York, episode “Deep Fried in NY” was taped April 21-22? The guest were Donald Tramp’s son and the Target designer. Looking for it, can’t find any NY taping yet. Thanks
I am very sad that they took Paula away from Savannah. She is a southern girl and it does not seem right for a southern show to be taping in New York. I think it really upsets those who loyally follow her. Even though I know she will do great there, to me it is like taking a fish out of water, it just isn’t right.

I have to agree with you. I’m not from the South, I’m from Pennsylvania. Although I am happy that her taping is closer to my location, I haven’t been able to score tickets. I actually preferred Paula’s show when she partied with regular people, not the celebrities. It was more fun then…
I’m a BIG fan of Paula Deen, the show isn’t the same since it moved to NY. It just all seems so scripted. When she was down in Savannah she was so much funnier, always mad me laugh so hard on a Friday night. Miss the old show.
I watcht the new show occaissionaly and I have to agreee.
She was a lot more interactive and it looked like a lot more fun.
Guy now has a similar show to what she use to have…it is better…but now Paula
I agree, it was better when it was more down home Savannah style. Too much NYC glitz. Paula’s appeal is her “everywoman” persona, not Broadway flash & dash production!!! And……. I had applied last February for the April tapings, & back in April, Phil Peterman said those who had not been selected were first in line for August tapings. Never heard a word. Guess my application was all for naught. Never heard if we needed to reapply. Ahhhh well, such is life!!!
You will probably get on some sort of eternal waiting list. I know people who have tried on getting on shows like Oprah and it took a couple of years. Of course, Paula is great, but not Oprah. With Paula though, her audience is relatively small and they really don’t do that many tapings.
