Perhaps We Need a Little Daylight Savings Every Day

This weekend, I forgot that it was daylight savings.  So when I got up and made breakfast and took the dog out and cleaned and finally, got dressed, I looked at the clock on the cable box and went… “huh?”  Then I remembered, we set the clocks back an hour.  Immediately I felt a weight lifted off me.  I felt happier, all because we had that extra hour and I had more time to do stuff.

All day, it seemed, I’d look at the clock and smile at how early it still seemed.

It’s all in my imagination, of course, because a 25-hour day isn’t that much different than a 24-hour one.  And yet, wouldn’t it be nice if we always had one more hour to get something done?  Even if we spent that hour doing absolutely nothing?
