Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research is sponsoring Pet Cancer Awareness (PCA) Month in May.

The Foundation has made more than $200,000 in grants to support the pet cancer research efforts at institutions like The Ohio State University, University of Tennessee, MIT, North Carolina State University, Cornell University and Colorado State University.

There are three ways to help support this cause:
• Buy a Blue “Protect Our Pets” wrist band for $2. (100% goes to the cause.)
• Buy Blue dog food or Blue Spa Select cat food during May. For each bag sold, $1 will be donated to PCA.
• Donate directly at petcancerawareness.org.

Is pet cancer really that big of a problem?

Yes, it is. According to Morris Animal Foundation, one in four dogs will die of cancer. Cancer is also the number one cause of death in older dogs (Source: Veterinary Oncology and Hematology Center).

You can learn more about pet cancer symptoms and research at PCA.
