I-Newswire reports that the National Scrapbooking Association (NSA) launched a new web site “NationalScrapbookingDay.com” (NSD) to publicize and promote events commemorating National Scrapbooking Day.
So what is it trying to do — NSA is trying to encourage all mad croppers out there to submiy and search for events and ideas to celebrate NSD.
Scrapbook enthusiasts are also invited to sign a petition to recognise National Scrapbooking Day which is normally on the first week of May. This year, it is going to be on the 6th of May 2006.
So how do mad croppers celebrate NSD? We do it through gathering with fellow scrapbookers and working on pages and albums. NSD is a business opportunity for scrapbook-related retailers to host and sponsor events to sell and promotetheir wares.
Veronica Hugger, President and co-founder of NSA says
National Scrapbooking Day also is a time for all scrapbookers to reflect and recognize that what we do matters. Scrapbookers are historians. We dedicate our precious free time and energy to document the lives of loved ones. National Scrapbooking Day reminds us that scrapbooking is important.
I wonder if NSD will become big enough for it to be declared a non-working holiday? Wouldn’t that be awesome????
