Pfizer settling Celebrex and Bextra cases

Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company that manufactured and sold Celebrex (celecoxib) and Bextra (valdecoxib), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs )NSAIDs), given for pain, has begun settling cases with patients who claimed that the medications had caused strokes and/or heart attacks.

These medications, prescribed for pain, were often prescribed for pain from arthritis.
