Photos chosen for “Life Images” magazine

Back in October, I shared with you that two of my photos had been chosen for inclusion in a brand new art photography magazine called Life Images. Well, I received my copy this week, and I am thrilled with the entire issue. I’ve been posting the calls for submissions for Life Images, and although one deadline just passed, there will be another chance coming up in a few months. So gather up your best shots, and in the meantime, think about getting ahold of this issue…it’s beautifully done! Don’t say that your work isn’t “good enough” either. I submitted 5 shots and had 2 accepted. That means that more were rejected than accepted! So what? How many can you get them to accept if you don’t send them in?

Cyndi,
No wonder they were accepted! They’re gorgeous. Did you digitally alter the railroad tracks one? The leaves are so vibrant.
Thank you, Katelyn! The leaves really were that vibrant, and the sky was overcast so they seemed even more so. But I did add a slight gaussian blur and beefed up the texture quite a bit, including adding brush strokes in certain areas. It’s practically impossible to tell on the low res version here, but the full sized shot in the magazine came out very well
It is a beautiful publication and I love your images. The second one is gorgeous! I keep meaning to send in some work, guess I should just do it and quit contemplating!
Come on, Toni! Send ‘em in
Since it’s a quarterly publication now, there’s always a deadline coming up!
Somehow this got in my inbox and I never saw it! Thanks Cyndi, I think I will!
