Painful sex is something that most women won’t admit to – and many who do mention it to their doctor aren’t taken seriously and don’t receive the help they need. But painful sex is something that needs to be discussed and women can’t be pushed aside just because some doctors may not understand it or take it seriously. If men can get so much attention over erectile dysfunction, which isn’t physically painful, then women deserve to have painful sex looked into and treated.

ABC News has done a story on this issue, Painful Sex Still a Painful Secret. In this article, the author writes about women who tell what it’s like to live with this condition, doctors who treat it, and a physiotherapist who has developed a program to help women. She says in the article that she has a backlog of patients and treats 10 patients a day.

If you suffer from this, I suggest you read the article – it may help you.
